Vaamanan - Review

Somewhat predictable story but in new bottle. Jai is having passion towards acting and coming to Chennai to get a cinema chance. He stays with his friend Santhanam. Santhanam's sarcastic comedy shows - he is still in lollu sabha mood! In a railway station he is meeting 2 persons. One is his to be lover Divya and another one is a gentleman-thief  Rehman.

In the train, Jai sees one murder in the train. In that hurry burry - he found Divya left her bag in the train in which he puts a victim's tape. As usual he wants to build the love by being good to her in the form of returning her hand bag. As the divya's dairy mentions about her love towards her mother Oorvashi, Jai cover her up with few comedy sequences. In past 4-5 films, Oorvasi portrayed as 'loose' mother either to hero or to heroine. This should change at least in her next assignment.

Jai follows Rehman and become his friend. Jai gets into trouble as Rehman kills Laxmi Roy (a model) for the lost tape. With the help of police and pressman 'Neeya - Naana' Gopi all comes to a conclusion.

Jai acted to the extent possible. But his dialogue delivery didn't help him in many places - It is bit flat most of the time. Laxmi Roy worked for the amount she paid for.
